Henry king who was baptized on the 16 of January at the worminghall, bukinghamsire in 1592 was a known poet and bishop. the eldest son of john king and his wife john king received his education from williams school, westminister school and became a student of christ church oxford.along with is brother john king he was matriculated on the 20th og january 1609 and was admitted to the degrees of bachelor and master arts( 19 june 1611 and june 17 1614).His other accomplishments include becoming archdean of calchester on 10 april 1617, receiving the sinecure rectory of fulham along with being appointed one of the royal chaplain, he held these titles until he was advanced to the episcopal bench.In about 1617 king settled down and married anne the eldest daughter of robert berkeley who later on died in 1624 at the age of 23. From his marriage he had about four to five children of which two survived . He was close fiends with poet donne who wrote on of my favourites death be not proud.John donne made him one of his excecutors and presented him with on of his sermons in manuscript and notes from his reading on ofer 1400 authors.Poet henry king wrote various elegies on royal persons awell as his private friends. A selection of poems and psalms was in fact published in 1843. King died in Chichester on the 30th September 1669, and was buried in Chichester Cathedral.

He is a veryself educated man who became a book binder when he left school and proceeded unto writing plays for the radio.In the year 1953 his poem "the call of the river nun" won and award at the nigerian festival of arts and by 1960 he was known as an acomplished literary craftsman. His poetry is mainly based on series of contrasts which symbols are balanced against each other. In his poems he often settled with the experience of life and death as well as the joys and realities that acompany them. In his poety aswell as prose he includeded African thought(te country's colonization to independence), religion, folklore and imagery.

Robert p. tristian coffin

Robert P.T coffin was born on March 18th 1892 inBrunswik Maine. He was a writter, poet and a professer at the Wells College. He earned graduate degrees from both princeton and oxford university. coffin looked at poetry as a public function that should speak well of life so that so that people would want to aquire inspiration. He expanded the particulars of his youth in maine in order to describe experiences that would be generally relatable to Americans. His book strange holiness won the pulitzer prize for poetry in 1936. Robert Peter Tristram Coffin died on January 20th, 1955.
